
EMFEC works with colleges and other training providers in adult, community and work based learning throughout the East Midlands. We support their work through training events, consultancy, professional updating and conference and meeting facilities.
Conference and Meeting Venue
EMFEC’s premises and facilities at Robins Wood House have just undergone a major refurbishment which began in June 2006. Our newly refurbished facilities are conveniently located at Robins Wood House close to Junction 26 of the M1 and Nottingham City Centre. Specialist staff are on hand to meet all of your conferencing and meeting requirements, from a small, fully serviced meeting venue to a theatre style setting of up to 60 people. Announcing a Series of e-Assessment Seminars Around the UK The series of seminars will highlight the benefits of e-assessment in three broad areas of education: Primary/Secondary, Secondary/Tertiary HE and Tertiary FE/Workplace. The speakers will describe the main features in the relevant sector led by a well-known exponent in the field and gather informed views through discussion under the guidance of experienced facilitators. |

The East Midlands European Social Fund Objective 3 Programme part funds some of EMFEC's activities.
EMFEC manages the SMILE project on behalf of a consortium of East Midlands FE Colleges and a Chamber of Commerce. The SMILE project (Successfully Moving Into Learning and Employment) comprises two strands of OLASS in the Community funded by the LSC and ESF. The project is on target to deliver training to 500 offenders in the community by May 2008.
