Paul Eeles, Chief Executive of EMFEC
Paul joined EMFEC as Chief Executive in January 2011 and he is responsible for the direction and strategic management of EMFEC. The organisation continues to promote and support excellence in the learning and skills sector across the East Midlands. Paul ensures that EMFEC delivers to its member colleges and a wider further education community, impartial responsive support services and intelligence which enable them to develop strategically as institutions. Paul is Chair of ABC Awards and acts as Corporate Trustee of ABC on behalf of EMFEC. Paul also has the additional responsibility of being AoC East Midlands Regional Director ensuring that the voice of the East Midlands Colleges is heard at regional and national level through the service that EMFEC provides to the Association of Colleges (AoC).
Paul has 24 years’ experience in the FE Sector, with 18 years senior management experience. Previously, Paul was Director of Sector Reforms and 14-19 at the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) where he had been part of the senior management team since February 2005. At AELP Paul led nationally on policy reform related to 14-19, Apprenticeships, Machinery of Government Changes, Sector Skills Councils, Quality Improvement, Inspection, Qualification Reform and Workforce Reform. Paul worked closely with officials from the Department for Education and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and stakeholder organisations to represent the interests of AELP members.
Paul is married and has two sons.

Simon Feneley - Director of College and Provider Services/Deputy Chief Executive
Simon is the Director of College and Provider Services and Deputy Chief Executive at EMFEC and is responsible for the professional support and services that EMFEC provides to its members and stakeholders. These include project and international activity, professional development and commercial income generation. Working closely with EMFEC’s Chief Executive, Simon also supports the company’s strategic and business planning processes.
Simon has worked in the Further Education sector since 1996 and has held positions at a number of colleges as External Funding Manager. Simon is also an Associate Lecturer at the Open University where he delivers an “Understanding Management” course.
He is a Chartered Company Secretary and has an MBA.

Tracy Roser - Executive Assistant
Tracy supports EMFEC's Chief Executive and the senior management team. She also provides support to AoC East Midlands and manages the HR function at EMFEC.

Ruth Wheelhouse – Head of College and Provider Services

Dan Lilley – Facilities Manager
Dan is the Facilities Manager, responsible for the maintenance, repair and security of the systems and equipment located within Robins Wood House. He also manages the activities of the Facilities Team.

Catherine Duro - Regional Procurement Manager
Catherine Duro joined EMFEC in January 2012 as Regional Procurement Manager based at Robins Wood House. She has 10 years’ experience covering all areas of the supply chain, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Catherine has spent the past three years as Procurement Manager at Stephenson College. The role will not re-invent the wheel, but provide experienced knowledge and expertise to support the efficiency and effectiveness of your organisation’s procurement function, from a local source. Catherine is able to support the whole team involved in procurement and supplier management.

Neil Brown - Policy and Intelligence Co-ordinator
Neil joined EMFEC in February 2012 and is responsible for co-ordinating Policy and Intelligence matters affecting EMFEC members, through a regular newsletter and direct contact. His previous role was with The University of Nottingham, co-ordinating a Graduate Internship Programme, and in the past has worked in business and training adviser roles with the Chamber of Commerce, Business Link, and an ERDF funded programme supporting businesses in Lincolnshire.

Nicola is responsible for the co-ordination of marketing communications, the website and all promotional activity at EMFEC.
