Paul Eeles

Chief Executive of the Skills and Education Group

Paul has over 29 years’ experience in the post-16 skills sector, including seven years as a lecturer and 13 years managing work based learning with colleges and independent providers. Prior to his current role as Chief Executive of the Skills and Education Group, comprising ABC Awards, ASDAN and emfec, Paul worked at the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) as Director of Sector Reforms and 14 to 19. Alongside his current role, he is also the Regional Director for the Association of Colleges East Midlands and Chair of the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).

Paul holds a Degree in Business Management, jointly from The University of Central England and The Birmingham College of Food, a Post Graduate Diploma in Training Management from the University of Wolverhampton and a Masters in Personnel and Development from the University of Plymouth.

Jenny Williams

Deputy Chief Executive of the Skills and Education Group

Jenny is passionate about vocational education and its potential to expand people’s horizons for action. She led the national Commission on Adult Vocational Teaching and Learning and authored its report, “It’s about work…” For the last three years she has implemented the report’s recommendations in her role as Director of Vocational Education and Training at the Education and Training Foundation. She has previously held roles as Head of Strategy, Policy, Research and Knowledge at the Learning and Skills Improvement Service. Between 2008 and 2010 she managed the Inquiry into the Future for Lifelong Learning at NIACE, and led the development of Southampton City Council’s plans for lifelong learning within the newly formed unitary authority in the early 2000s.

Jenny is currently a doctoral student at UCL Institute of Education in London and holds a degree in Linguistics from Hatfield Polytechnic and an RSA Certificate in Management.

Simon Feneley-Lamb

Director of emfec Services and Group Projects

Simon has worked in the further education sector for 20 years within business, marketing and project development. Prior to that, he worked in a training and development role for a large public limited company.

Simon holds a Masters in Business Administration from Nottingham Trent Unversity and a Diploma in Management Studies. Simon is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
