At the last meeting of this network, we discussed the fact that in 2011 not one FE college had received outstanding from Ofsted for teaching, and it was agreed to plan a day event for staff development managers to explore and share good practice in evidencing the impact of CPD on the improvement of teaching and learning, including the impact of support staff in improving the learner experience. This network meeting will focus on planning the conference day on Tuesday 8 May. Do come and share your ideas!

We will also be updated by two speakers: Sue Colquhoun, Head of Professional Status at the Ifl, who will provide news and views from Ifl, and Lorna Freakley, our regional LSIS representative.
