Continuing the roundup of fantastic A-Level results acheived by colleges in the East Midlands,we congratulate A-Level students at Chesterfield College who achieved an excellent overall pass rate of 98.3% this year, improving upon the 97% achieved in 2010 and above the national average of 97.8%. T
The largest ever cohort of A-level students at Derby College achieved a 99% pass rate for the third year running. Nineteen subjects had 100% pass rates, including all the science and maths subjects. Grantham College celebrated outstanding results in BTEC National Diplomas. 45 students gained triple distinctions (equivalent to 3 'A' levels) in their chosen subjects.
Lincoln College announced an overall pass rate of 98%, with a 100% pass rate in 14 subjects. Loughborough College achieved a pass rate of 95% for the second year running. Of the 132 students who sat exams, 67% gained passes at grades A* to C.
Burton and South Derbyshire College are celebrating after achieving a 98%pass rate....more than two thirds of grades achieved were at the top grades A* to C, with 19 out of 21 subjects achieving a 100% pass rate, including core subjects such as English, Maths and Physics.
