emfec Recruiting New CPD Trainers
emfec is searching for new Associate Trainers to support us in delivering high-quality continual professional development events to our members and stakeholders.
With more than 100 years of experience in further education and skills, emfec understands how to deliver exceptional training, and we do this with the support of our Associates, each with their own expertise and knowledge of the sector.
Our Associate Trainer register provides a flexible resource of self-employed, specialist, experienced and skilled professionals who can offer a wide range of consultancy, professional development, research, quality improvement, project management and evaluation services.
With more emphasis than ever on the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, we are keen to regularly update our register of Associates in order to offer a rich and wide-ranging CPD programme to our members and stakeholders, both across the East Midlands and nationally.
In particular, we are looking for new associates with experience in curriculum management and delivery, especially if this experience is in delivering English and maths.
In your role as an Associate, you will work with the Director of emfec Services and Lead Associate to plan and deliver CPD events and networks, delivering sessions at our base in Nottingham. We may also invite you to help us deliver bespoke events at other locations, for example at member colleges or as part of a wider national event.
You will also have the opportunity to write blogs for the emfec website, voicing your recommendations and concerns relating to aspects of education and skills policy, and have an active and reciprocal relationship with emfec via social media so we can support you in expanding your own business.
John Morris, Managing Director at JTM Educational Consultants, who also works as an Associate at emfec, said of his experience:
“Working for emfec enables Associate Trainers to discuss and promote good practice and ideas from their experience with a wide range of delegates from further education providers.
“It is an opportunity to share relevant ideas regarding current practice and extend delegates’ awareness of ‘what is possible’. The support from the emfec team is of a high quality in enabling delegates to enjoy participating within a welcoming learning environment and relaxing over coffee and a buffet lunch.”
Markham May, also an emfec Associate Trainer, said:
“I am an independent education consultant working for several organisations delivering training, development and consultancy all over the UK. This means that I have the luxury of working for whoever I please, so inevitably I sometimes compare what it is like working for different organisations. emfec always comes top of my list because they are a pleasure to work for!”
